BakerApp

In this project I am designing a bakery app focusing in user experience. Throughout the process I learned the basic for UX research and first steps into Figma software.

I explore how to create a persona in order to understand the user needs, avoid bias, and how to implement this information to my designs.

Finally creating low fidelity prototypes to approach to the solution need it, conducting usability study to improve design and visuals to arrive in high fidelity prototype.

Low-fidelity prototype

The main idea was to create a home screen where the user were able to find every feature in the beginning in order to save time, such as creating order, customize language and view shipping.

04

Usability study: findings

In general the path that user took in the app is clear and straightforward, but with some issues in between.

1. Is difficult to find the button to language.

2. The order confirmation could improve.

3. Creating a new order can enhanced.

Mockups

Some participants didn't understand the icon for language, so I change it to text to make it clearer. I also add divider to separate sections.

The refine prototype shows the user flow to order a meal and customize the delivery.

07

Accessibility considerations

1. Implemented high contrast to improve visuals so users with vision impaired can read with ease.

2. Provide access to language feature for users with foreign language.

3. Used icons to help make navigation easier.

08

Next steps

1. Conduct another round of usability studies to validate whether the pain points users experienced have been effectively addressed.

2. Implement the new insights to improve the high fidelity prototype.

3. Conduct more user research to determine any new areas of need.
